Social Services

The MBSCC Social Services Program serves as a cornerstone of support for the South Bronx community, offering a comprehensive range of resources and referrals. Through collaborations with internal programs such as the Housing Department, Job Resource Center, Head Start, Early Learning, GED/ESL classes, food pantry, volunteer initiatives, computer training, and tax preparation services, we address the diverse needs of individuals and families.

Our referral process ensures seamless access to critical services, both within MBSCC and from the broader community. We actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, particularly for the Head Start and Early Learning programs, and provide targeted support to families engaged with these services. The program’s reach is evident in the high volume of daily calls and walk-ins, highlighting our reputation as a trusted resource in the community.

Key services include:

  • Recovery Group: Supporting individuals overcoming substance use and related challenges.
  • Women’s and Men’s Support Groups: Offering safe spaces for personal growth, peer support, and empowerment.
  • Individual Counseling: Providing personalized guidance to help clients navigate crises and achieve stability.

MBSCC Social Services is committed to uplifting the community by addressing immediate needs, fostering resilience, and empowering individuals and families to build brighter futures.
