Family Services

The MBSCC Family Services Program provides comprehensive support to families and individuals within Community District 4, offering resources and guidance to address a wide range of challenges. Staffed by a dedicated team, including the Director of Social Services, a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW), and an Assistant Director/Recovery Counselor with expertise in substance abuse issues, the program is committed to empowering residents and improving their quality of life.

Originally designed to serve tenants of the Ogden, Plimpton, Summit, Morris, and Grand Concourse East apartments, the program has expanded to support the wider community. MBSCC Family Services plays a vital role, particularly during challenging economic times, offering critical assistance and a compassionate ear for individuals and families in crisis.

• Social Services: Providing personalized support to address immediate and long-term needs.
• Job Resource Center: Connecting individuals with employment opportunities, resume building, and job training.
• GED/ESL Programs: Empowering community members through education and language development to enhance career prospects.
• Computer Labs: Offering access to technology and skill-building opportunities to help bridge the digital divide.
