Children & Youth Services

Since the early 1990s, MBSCC has significantly expanded its offerings to support children and youth as part of its commitment to community revitalization. Selected to participate in the Comprehensive Community Revitalization Program (CCRP), funded by a coalition of 21 foundations, MBSCC responded to the needs of South Bronx residents by introducing programs that promote early childhood education, youth development, and academic success.

Recognizing that revitalized communities begin with healthy, well-educated, and engaged children, MBSCC’s Children & Youth Services include:

• Head Start: Providing comprehensive early childhood education and family support to prepare children for school and lifelong success.
• Early Learning Center: Offering high-quality daycare and early education in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment.
• After School Programs: Delivering safe, structured, and enriching activities that support academic achievement and personal growth.
• Summer Camp: Engaging youth with fun, educational, and recreational opportunities during the summer months to promote learning and social development.

MBSCC understands the importance of providing quality alternatives to overcrowded and underperforming schools. By working closely with parents and community stakeholders, we are committed to building a foundation for success for South Bronx children and youth, ensuring they have the opportunities they need to thrive.
